250 g (9 oz) Fish, cleaned, gashed
1 tsp (2 g) Red chilli powder
1/2 tsp (1 g) Black pepper (kali mirch) powder
2 pinches Turmeric (haldi) powder
1/2 tsp (2 g) Salt
Vegetable oil for frying
method
1. Mix all the ingredients (except the fish and oil) with a little water and rub the paste over the fish. Keep aside for an hour.
2. Heat the oil in a wok (kadhai); shallow-fry the fish till golden brown. Remove and drain the excess oil on absorbent paper towels. Repeat till all are fried.
