1. Place the spinach in a deep pan, add a little water, season with salt, cover with a lid and boil for 5 minutes until tender. Drain well, coarsely chop and retain.
2. Boil the diced turnips in salted water until cooked.
3. Lightly fry the mustard seeds in ghee, then add the chopped onion, grated ginger, chilli powder and turmeric.
4. Add the chopped spinach and drained turnips and cook for a further 3 - 4 minutes.
5. Serve sprinkled with garam masala and the lemon juice.
