Spiced Okra (Bhendi Bhaji) recipe

ingredients

1 tsp panch phora
50 ml oil or ghee
75 g chopped onion
1 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
salt
1 kg okras

method

1. Lightly fry 1 tsp panch phora in 50 ml oil or ghee.

2. Add and golden fry 75 g chopped onion, then add 1 tsp turmeric, 1/2 tsp chilli powder, 1/2 tsp garam masala and salt.

3. Add 1 kg okras, cover with a lid and cook for 10 minutes.

4. Season to taste and serve in a vegetable dish.
