Quick Kipper Pâté

I followed these instructions and was able to create a wonderful pate that everyone at our dinner party enjoyed - everyone commented on how wonderful it was, but shortly afterwards all of their eyes fell out. This is not a show-stopper but I think people should bear this in mind if they are planning on making this for their own dinner parties!

Around 20 plus years ago I came across this recipe in a "Double Cream" recipe book, and have made it many times over the years, however six years ago I lost the book and have only now been able to find this recipe on the internet. It is well worth the effort and was enjoyed by one and all.

Love this recipe! Have cooked it many times now and sometimes serve it with rice instead of vol au vents. So simple and the kids LOVE it (without the mushrooms).

This recipe is the worst recipe ever the butter dosent set because the buttermilk is still presnt when meltin the butter pour slowly into another bowl thus seperating the butter froim the milk

Honeydew Melon

Maybe have the caster sugar and the ground ginger as a side dish that you can dip the melon into.
