Baked Lemon Sole

Catherine MuK
I didn't add the parsley, just panfried it. Simple, but oh so effective.
Marj
Enjoyed it very much - extremely simple and delicious. Just wondering why it's caled Baked Lemon Sole, since the recipe directs that it be broiled - ?
Aurora Sprincz
I loved it, so simple to do. Broiled means "baked" at high temp., quickly.
Fran
At what temp is it broiled?

I made this and my whole family loved it-even my daughter who doesn't usually eat seafood! It's a great recipe for the whole family! I hope you enjoy it as much as i did!
Karen
I consider myself to be quite a good cook so I don't think my skills were the problem here - I found this incredibly bland and quite unpleasant and I put the lot in the bin!!!
Moon Chef
Try sprinkling potato crisps on top before cheese. And add a pinch of chilli onto the prawns. Lovely!
Steve
My wife (sharon) made this and the whole famiy enjoyed it! definitly not bland or unpleasant obvously my wife cooked it properly! Perhaps its time I married the old girl!!

It is very nice... kids loved it... husband loved it... thanks!
Mum1
Really nice and quick to prepare which is a bonus. Didn't use the olives though! (don't like olives!)
Eif
I've just spent a short time preparing this dish, its in the oven right now! It looked amazing before going in, can't wait to try it!
Eif
Wow, what a dish! I used 2 smaller fish, and halved plumb tomatoes to serve 2 hungry people! Served up with a baked potato, and garnished with baby leaf salad. I also added a glug of white wine vinegar to the juices left in the roasing tin, to make a nice vinegarette to drizzle over the dish.

Baked Lemon Sole with Parmesan Crust

Michael
We were expecting a result that would have dried out the fish but to our delight, it was quite moist and tender. It appears that the crust (dry & fat combo mixture) acted as a blanket, keeping the moisture sealed within the sole during the bake period. My wife and I were initially hesitant to try this out. In fact, we considered breading the sole to fry instead of baking it. Still, it turned out to be a lovely meal and would certainly recommend it to others who want something simple to prepare and prefer the less exotic concoctions.
Andrea
I decided to try this recipe when my husband decided to thaw out some filets he had in the freezer. I am not particularly fond of fish, but tried this recipe anyway. It was really good, and fish was tender and not too fishy tasting. I expected the fish to be dry, but it was excellent.
Nicky
Having never cooked lemon sole before, I thought this recipe was nice and simple. The end result was fantastic - moist fish with a tasty crunchy topping.
Will definately be cooking this one again!

I had frozen Dover Sole also thawed them in cold water. Made the bread crumb mixture but added some lemon juice and fresh chopped parsley to the mixture..Patted it on top of the sole and baked in a 400 oven for 25 mins. It was crispy, juicy and delicious. Plus so easy to prepare. I did spray my pan with Pam and I think that helped keeping the fish from sticking to the bottom.

Monkfish and Prawn Casserole

Gerard
This was an excellent recipe. A) Easy to prepare and cook. B) Wonderfully tasty.
Esther
Recently cooked this for friends coming to dinner. So easy to do, really tasty and made a great impression. Enjoy it.
Valerie
I made it for me and my boyfriend and he was impressed.Easy and tasty.I made it in individual caseroles ;) and instead of parsley used coriander !!!
Chris Turner
Does this recipe really demand 5cm cubes of the monkfish?

Italian Style Monkfish

Eileen
An absolutely wonderful meal - wholesome and with the fennel delcately flavoured. The kind of meal one would expect on the menu of a michelin starred restaurant. Gorgeous!
Caroline
Excellent recipe. I suggest greasing the dish with butter and roasting the fish lightly in a pan before placing it on the potatoes.
Matt
A simple and elegant meal. With accompanying salad and fresh bread it is complete. And so easy to prepare.
Emily
WOW!!!! this Italien recipe was devine i really enjoyed this very much!!!!!

Baked Scallops with Garlic and Herbs

Baked Scallops with Garlic and Herbs
Andrew
As my first ever time for eating scallops I wanted an easy recipe. It was simple and mighty tasty - the flavour of the scallops really came through and three scallops really is enough. I had six and sat on the sofa swimming in glutony.
Carly, dorset
Cooked the scallops exactly to how the recipe said and they were bland. Had scallops many times before and have been lovely. This recipe was just not to our taste. Will try another recipe instead.
Charlie, Edinburgh
Great recipe, but I discovered that I don't like scallops. This was my first time trying them and as Andrew's review was so good, I decided to give this recipe a try. Nothing wrong with the recipe, I just don't like scallops.
Christy malcolm
These are the best things i have ever tasted.

Denyse
A great no fuss dish, daughter had to be out the door in 30mins so i put it together in a flash using bok choy and some herb things from my garden.Added 1/4 tin of chopped tinned tomatoes instead of water with the fish, gave it a bit of colour, cooked easily in my electric frypan.Lovely :)

MONKFISH SLICED FENOL LEEKS MUSHROOMS LEMON JUICE ON MASHED POTATOES QUICK & EASY MEAL, MY WIFE WAS WELL PLEASED
G Harris
Didn't have a few of the ingredients so used fennel instead of cabbage, lime juice instead of lemon juice and threw in a few baby plum tomatoes. Then I substituted the water for white wine and the result was delicious!

Scallops with Ginger

Maz
Superb!! Cupboard ingredients. Excellent served with creamed potatoes and stirfried baby vegetables. Yummy!
Mike_j
Lovely dish. I made minor changes to suit store items, white wine, not vermouth, plain yoghurt, not creme fraiche and added a tiny bit of deseeded chilli. Served with salad and fresh bked garlic bread.
Ben
Very easy and nice dish. We made it with frozen scallops and it was great. Has to use white wine instead of vermouth.Very easy to make and yummy
Green - rugby
Serve with a simple salad of lettuce & tomatoes and add a little chilli when you saute the scallops.

Oh my gosh Ainsley Harriott, my fave chef of all time commented on this dish! Then it must be good!!

Curried Prawns

Cooking the prawns or shrimp for 20 minutes is a bad idea they should only be cooked for 2-4 minutes or until they pink up. I'd remove them add the onions simmer that and then re-add the prawns at the end.
MR A GIT
I didnt add the flour and i still think it was great...
Cook_Cricit
OH Wow i just made it its very NICE! but you should add chilli to the ingredient , currys are better spicy
CHEEKY LITTLE COOK
It was great, i also added abit of chilli you can eat curry with no chilli. If you eat it the curry with cucumber on the side it tastes even better. By the way to your cucumber you should add some salt and lemon to the cucumber to give it that UMPH!! ( make sure you slice the cucumber)
Simple and deliceux :)

Potato and Prawn Curry

Lo
I love Prawns and potatoes, so a mix is excellent! Well Done! Good Mix! x
Brian & Janice Dainty
This is one of the nicest & easiest meals we have cooked at home. Our guests were very impressed & asked us for the recipe.
Liz
Mmmmhhhh such a lovely dish, for those in East Africa, try it with Chapati!!!
Steve
Very easy to cook and very very tasty. than kyou

Prawn Curry

Mark Petty
So simple and it tastes great...
*
Tastes great even without coconut and it's nice and easy
Clare Wardman
I used soured cream instead of coconut cream and it worked really well.
Andy C
This is a great recipe. It is actually very simple and tastes very good. I wonder if you could swap the stock and prawns for another e.g. chicken and use chicken instead of prawns. Yum!

Hake Florentine

Donna Munns.
Lovely recipe, very tasty, but spinach is best steamed for 2-3 minutes in a small amount of water. Also you may need more than two tomatoes depending on how big your oven proof dish is, i used four large tomatoes.
Jeanette Aquilina, Malta
Just now i cooked for all the family, i have just done the process of the oven that is seasoned the Hake, and baked it. I have boiled some spinach and done some mash potatoes cuz i needed a quick recipe done in a few minutes.. next time will surely try it with the sauce, oh and i poured the juice on the hake and also the spinach :)
Trevor Lowe
An easy dish to cook. I have made it several times and everyone has really enjoyed it. It can be made using different fish and cheese if those specified are not available. I have used pollock and mozarrella cheese.

Easy to follow recipe. I,m making it for the second time for a dinner party. Lovely taste. I served it with sliced boiled potatoes with olive oil and paprika.

Sue
What could I use instead of Pink Pepper Corns ?
I Live in the U.K. and cannot find them.

YOUR CUSTOMER
Very nice but in the ingredients you said to use COOKED unpeeled prawns but at the end you said use UNCOOKED and unpeeled prawns tell me what we have to use please!!!
MOb the bst -
You should be using uncooked prawns, as if u use cooked prawns them they will over cook and not taste nice at the end of the dish. so hterfore use ONLY UNCOOKED PRAWNS AND NOT COOKED PRAWNS> peace.

Rich Tomato and Red Wine Mussels

Ben
A little more information on how to cook this dish would have helped. we bought the mussels fresh so "cooking the mussels according to the instructions on the pack" really did'nt help. otherwise a very good dish.
Trish
Added a little chili to the tomato sauce, loved the recipe and was really easy! first time i had cooked live mussels.
Amy
But what if I bought them on the market? they don't have instructions on the pack....

Go to Supermarket and read instructions.
