rainbow trout

Rainbow trout are the most common of trout, normally reared on fish farms. Their color is green gold with whitish flesh. Rainbow trout are best grilled or baked in foil. Smoked rainbow trout has a rich brown color, and requires no cooking.

These have a darker skin than rainbow trout and are spotted. River trout are best grilled or fryed.
